Our School Day

Key Stage 2 [Years 3, 4, 5 & 6]

See below for a typical day in Lower Key Stage 2, each week is a total of 32.5 hours.

8.40am - 9.00am Ready to learn time and editing

9.00am - 9.20am: Reading Recharged

9.20am - 10.10am: English  [1 PE session/week*]

10.10am - 10.30am: Snack and playtime

10.30am - 11.30am: Maths [1 PE session/week*]

11.30am - 11.45am: Assembly following the Colletive Worship Policy

11.45am - 12.15pm: Mastering Number

1.15pm - 1.30pm: Phonics or Spelling

1.30pm - 3.15pm: Foundation subjects (history, geography, music**, computing**, PSHE, PE, art**, DT**]

3.15pm: Home

Please note all children will be taught 1 session of French taught by the School's French Lead during Monday

Please note that children have a weekly Book Club session

Please note that children have a weekly Handwriting session

*children only have 1 morning PE session per week and 1 afternoon PE session per week in Year 3, 4 & 5, all Year 6 PE is in the afternoon
